The Professional Development Committee has been hard at work on a number of initiatives in recent months. Read on to learn about some of our efforts.

Professional Development Scholarships

The Professional Development Committee awarded scholarships to three members during the first round of scholarship awards. Julius Suchy (Sparta) and Shay Gallagher (Lakeview) were both awarded scholarships for the 2017 ICMA Conference in San Antonio this October. Victor Cardenas (Novi) was awarded a scholarship to assist with registration and travel to the Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government this summer. Congratulations to each of the scholarship recipients.

The second round of scholarship applications are due no later than close of business on Friday, June 30, 2017. Please send any questions or application materials to cwuerth@villageofmilford.org. Full scholarship guidelines can be accessed at www.mme.org/scholarship-application-guidelines.
