Exciting Winter Institute on Tap!

By Rebecca Fleury

The New Year is upon us and that means we are closer to our Winter Institute. The program is coming together nicely, with pre-conference sessions on marijuana and great speakers for the Women’s Symposium. The symposium includes the president of the Battle Creek Community Foundation talking about being a female leader and the changing role of community foundations. Emily Kieliszewski from MML will provide an update on the 16/50 initiatives and celebrating the inaugural class of budding leaders. All this before the Institute officially starts! You will not want to miss our keynote sessions on Leadership, Leadership vs. Management, Economic Development, Role of Philanthropy, and Creating a Culture of Civility.

The Planning Committee has been putting in overtime creating an exciting three days. Not only will you find it hard to decide which breakout sessions to attend, but also you will not want to miss the most exciting Managers’ event ever! All I can say is you may want to pack some tie-dye! I will say no more. To find out, you will have to register to attend this year’s Winter Institute in Battle Creek, February 5 – 8, 2019. Registration is now open.

The Professional Development Committee is also accepting applications for the Professional Coaching Scholarship as well as our other scholarships. If you need resource help for your professional development needs, we have a scholarship for you. All the information you need is on the MME website.
